Digital Domain created nearly 400 visual effects shots for a film that appears to have none. Much of the work was done during the flight scenes, using in-house developed Nuke software to speed up punches and make the impact seem more concussive than what was actually filmed. Set extensions were also employed to portray NYC as it appeared during the Great Depression realistically.
