Digital Domain Forms Alliance with Warner Music Jointly Produce the First Virtual Reality Concert Pre-recorded Video Highlight in China

Ronghao Li “An Ideal” World Tour Concert Beijing Marks the First Collaboration Innovative Entertainment Experience with the Use of Virtual Reality Technology

Explore Immense Market Potential in the Global Chinese Music Market

(23 May 2016 – Hong Kong) - Digital Domain Holdings Limited (the “Company” or “Digital Domain”; SEHK stock code: 547), creator and proprietor of visual effect contents and the parent company of the award-winning visual effects company Digital Domain 3.0, announced today that the Company is entering an alliance with Warner Music Taiwan Limited (“Warner Music”), the third largest records company globally, with their first collaboration being the production of a virtual reality (“VR”) concert pre-recorded video highlight for Ronghao Li’s “An Ideal” World Tour Concert Beijing (the “Concert” and the “VR music video”). Digital Domain has sent its production crew to the Concert for live shooting and will produce the VR music video. The VR music video is the very first of its kind in China, combining Digital Domain’s 360 technology and computer graphics techniques in the production, which aims at bringing about an innovative music and visual experience to Chinese music fans around the world.

Mr. Seah Ang, Daniel, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Domain said, “Watching a concert through VR actually brings a more astounding experience than being at the concert in person. No matter where you are, VR technology will bring you an experience just like being in the live concert performance, anytime, anywhere. You can choose to watch the concert taking a front-row seat together with other celebrities and VIPs, or experience the excitement onstage from Ronghao Li’s point of view. The use of VR technology in this video adds new angles to a music video. With Warner Music’s abundant music and celebrities resources globally and, in particular, the Greater China region, we look forward to bring premium music contents through the combination of our technologies, and develop quality original contents to tap the Greater China VR market and explore the vast potential in the global music market.”

Mr. Sam Chen, Chief Executive Officer of Warner Music Greater China said, “This project marks the first milestone in the alliance between Digital Domain and Warner Music. We look forward to integrating the world’s leading visual effects and VR technologies from Digital Domain into our high-quality music content and rich portfolio of artists, bringing an elevated audio-visual experience.”
